Reflections on Barack Obama

The Americans inaugurate their new president today.  I hope that it may be a special day for Julia and Colin too as they watch the start of everybody’s hope for a world that truly is full of Compassion, Empathy, Miracles and Love. I would ask that you all  now take on the spirit and Help Change The World For Good.

To all my grandchildren, Paige, Tabitha, Rowan, Aidan, Brendan; today we throw you the torch to a better world of human rights for everyone and hope that through your studies of the world you will know what has to be done.

I’ll close now with my favorite quote from Ulysses by Tennyson.

I am a part of all that I have met,
Yet all experience is an arch,
Where through gleams that untraveled world ,
Whose  margins fade forever and forever When  I move.

Update on the Audio Book

The audio book will be ready soon . It will consist of five compact discs as read by Helen Roos, a professional actress from Ottawa. I think it will cost somewhere around $25. If anyone would like a copy please send me a quick e-mail and I will begin my list immediately.

I  am contacting  the CNIB (Canadian National Institute for the Blind) to see about placing copies in their library. As well I ‘d like to offer it to seniors in nursing homes. Perhaps you would like to give a copy to a nursing Home in your town.

Chromavision, the company I’ve engaged to assist in the production of the audio book, has already reduced their initial preparation charge for the audio book by 50%. Hats off to our first sponsor.

I have been involved in several teleseminars for book sales but I guess I’m old fashioned enough to remember that if it sounds too good to be true then it probably isn’t. I would still love to see it as a movie. I am preparing it for a play right now and will look into a puppet show for the young ones.

New Church

I have chosen my church in Ottawa now. I hope to have a similar type of support as I started out with in the church in Bloomfield.
